Unit 14, Estrada do Ferro
ONE BUILDING,NINETEEN YEARS,NO REBRAND.
Oversteer started as one bay, one ramp and a borrowed torque wrench in 2007. It is now three bays, a four-wheel dyno and eleven people, and it has never once been anything other than a garage.

The bench
NOBODY HERESELLS ANYTHING.
There is no service adviser at Oversteer. The person who quotes your car is the person who works on it and the person who signs the printout, which is the only arrangement under which a quote means anything.
- Eleven staff, nine of them with a spanner in their hand
- Every map written in-house — nothing bought off a file seller
- Four technicians with factory diagnostic certification
A faster car that breaks is a slower car. Everything we sell is measured twice, written down once, and handed to you on paper — because a number you cannot check is a number we made up.
The logbook
HOW ONE BAYBECAME THREE.
One bay, one ramp
Rented half a unit behind a tyre fitter and took whatever came through the door. The first year was mostly clutches and the occasional brave remap on a laptop borrowed from a friend.
The dyno arrives
A used two-wheel rolling road, paid for over three years, that immediately changed the business: for the first time a claim could be printed instead of argued. Nothing has left untested since.
Suspension bay
Corner-weight scales and an alignment rig, because half the cars we had made faster were now visibly worse to drive. Power was never the hard part of the job.
Track programme
Started running a prep-and-support service at four circuits a season. Turns out the fastest way to learn what a build survives is to stand next to it when it does not.
Second unit
Took the neighbouring unit for the four-wheel dyno cell and moved fabrication next door. Same three bays for customer cars — deliberately, because a fourth would cost us the lead times.
Who holds the spanner
FOUR NAMESON THE SHEETS.
Every printout is signed. If a figure on your sheet needs explaining a year from now, the person who measured it is still standing in the same bay.
